Casa Mariposa is a hideaway at the edge of the jungle above the bay in Yelapa Mexico. It's a traditional jungle palapa on the hillside overlooking Yelapa Bay, just adjacent to Casa Aramara. Casa Mariposa is surrounded by beautiful gardens with an acre of unique tropical plants and large trees full of birds and butterflies.

The open construction of this traditional Mexican palapa house provides cooling breezes throughout the year. The house comes furnished with a full kitchen and living areas. Downstairs in the main casa is a double suspended bed and up stairs in the loft is another double suspended bed.

There is also a Casita (small house) with a private bathroom, outdoor hot shower (Wonderful view of Mariposa's gardens and the bay beyond) and it's own living area. It's about 75 feet from the main house. It too has a loft for the sleeping area with suspended double bed. The Casita also has a porch that over looks the gardens and the bay and hills beyond. It's great for spending the early morning watching the sun come up and enjoying your morning coffee.

Combined, both houses give you 2 hot showers and 2 toilets, one kitchen with propane stove and electric fridge, and 3 separate sleeping spaces (2 lofts and 1 downstairs). All are included in the rental rate for up to 5 guests. Mariposa provides complete privacy for 2 couples. It will accommodate three to four single folks and is perfect for families of 4 to 5 people. The Casita and main house are never rented separately.
